Olympus E-3
The Olympus E-3 gives users the control and build that is usually saved for professional level DSLRs. This camera creates excellent images when your ISO isn’t too high. When you have the camera set at a higher ISO the digital noise becomes noticeable and doesn’t make the picture look good.

The control layout on the E-3 is great everything is close at hand and there are simple shortcuts too functions like ISO altering, shooting modes and many other things. This camera is built too the same standards as a professional level camera so the button layout and the all around inner workings are similar too that of a professional level camera.

The E-3 lets you adjust the ISO up to 3200 but that quality in pictures produced lags before you get too ISO 3200. When you take a picture at ISO 500 you have too adjust the image resolution and make it lower, if you leave it at 100% resolution the noise in the image is very visible.

The body of the E-3 is made from Magnesium Alloy. The camera has comfortable grip pads that are virtually unnoticeable. With the comfortable pads and the design of the camera body this camera feels really good in the hand. Durability and quality is an important thing when your looking at buying a camera that costs thousands of dollars and this camera doesn’t disappoint.

The E-3 has it’s highs but it has its lows like the ISO problem, if your used too shooting at ISO 800 and like too use high tonal ranges when shooting RAW format images this camera just doesn’t perform as well as Nikon and Canon’s that are in the same category of semi-pro DSLRs. Also if your Comparing the E-3 too Canon and Nikon’s semi-pro cameras that the E-3 is less reliable at capturing moving objects than Canon and Nikon.

With the bad about the camera out of the way this is still a very enjoyable camera too use whether you’re a pro or just an enthusiast. The build quality and the picture quality are good for users who are looking for a semi-pro level camera. This camera is priced at $1,399 making it relatively affordable.
